Brother Knights,

On the 3rd of December, the San Antonio Rampage is hosting Archbishop Gustavo Garcia-Siller to Catholic Night at the AT&T Center. The Archbishop will do the honorary puck drop, have a speech during intermission, and host a meet and greet. We currently have 75 tickets that I purchased and set aside for council 10940. Nine of them have already been accounted for. Since there is a limited number of tickets, they will be issued out on a first come fist served basis. This is a family event and yes, I believe that hockey is a family event. This is a great time for us to gather as families, have a great evening, and support our Archbishop!

Event Info:
Tickets are $21.50 each and include a seat, hotdog, chips, and soda.
Day: Saturday Dec the 3rd @ 7:00 PM
Game: San Antonio Rampage VS Oklahoma City Barons

If you are interested, please let me know quickly as I believe that they will go quickly!!! If you would like to be seated next to another family I need to know really quick as the longer you wait the harder that request will be to fill.

We will be gathering at the Boerne Fair Grounds for our annual support of the Turkey Fry. This is an event where we will join roughly 275 men from local christian churches and prepare around 250 Thanksgiving dinners. These are 250 family meals and not 250 people. The meals are complete dinners with everything, even dessert and handed out that day to those in need.

Event Info:
Day: Nov 23rd.
Location: Boerne Fair Grounds (KC Junior Livestock barn area)
Time: Some @ 5:00 to setup, some @ 6:00 to cook breakfast for all, and some at 6:45 to start cooking birds.
Finish: around noon

This is an awesome event and I highly encourage you to attend if at all possible. It will make you even that much more thankful on Thanksgiving.

Patrick Walther has stepped up and volunteered to lead this event. More info to follow. Please save the date.

We currently need 9 new members and 1 more insurance this year. We have a 1st Knights on the 15th of this month and a 1st Deg on the 17th at council 4140. I am setting a personal goal of taking 3 to both events. I humbly request that you ask a friend or fellow parishioner to come and find out more about us. We will be meeting on the 15th at the pavilion at 6:30 and also leave open the night of the 17th to be able to meet at Flag Stop @ 6:35 to attend the first degree. Let's push and see if we can close out the month with 100% of our yearly goal obtained. Thank you and please let me know if you have a candidate 210 823 3525 or scott@snsfp.com. Thank you all!

The business meetings for November and December will move to and replace the agenda meetings for both months. The November business meeting will be on November the 8th at 7:30 in the Family Life Center. The December business meeting will be on December the 13th at 7:30 in the Family Life Center. There will be no agenda meetings for these months and no meetings on the 22nd of November or 27th of December. There will also be no Rosary prior to the meetings for these months due to conflicting scheduling. This will allow us to keep up with activities and also spend time with our loved ones for the holidays. We will resume the normal meeting times and dates in January. I hope to see all of you on the 8th for the business meeting. Thank you all and have a great weekend.

The time is upon us for trash pickup and the tentative date is set for the Saturday the 19th of November. More info to follow at and after the meeting.

Brother Knights,
All of your help is requested with the Holiday Raffle. Currently we are behind where we would like to be in our financial picture. We have had a couple of great, well attended and planned events that have come up shorter then they have in the past. This IS NOT a result from lack of participation or chairmen leadership! They are simply events that were subject to the weather and the current financial climate. With the cancellation of the Tootsie Roll Drive, fire relief, and other unforeseen expenses we need to close the gap with the Holiday Raffle.

Here are the details:
We are issuing a ticket for every $20 donation and there are 350 tickets that need to be moved. The drawing will be happen on the 20th of November at St Peter's pavilion in time for black Friday. The prizes are visa gift cards in the amounts of $1,500 1st place, $1,000 2nd place, and $500 3rd place.

Currently 21 Knights have 130 tickets in their possession moving them. THANK YOU!! This leaves us with 220 still to move and means I need 44 more Knights to help out by simply moving 5 tickets each. With 254 Knights this should not be an issue. It starts with you and please help on this!

We need to have this be a very successful event to keep our local charities and ministries from feeling the impact of the current financial situation and overwhelming demand they are experiencing. They need our help more this year then ever and I do not want to come up short supporting them. Please contact me immediately 210 823 3525 or scott@snsfp.com to become involved in this.

There will be a FIRST KNIGHTS Meeting on November 15th at 6:30pm.

We will meet at the St Peter's at the Pavilion.

Please come welcome the new Knights of Council 10940.

If you know of anyone interested in joining Council 10940, please, bring them to our First Knights meeting.

The menu is Chili and Beverages for this event. It would be helpful if a couple of Knights would volunteer to bring a couple of large pots of their award winning chili.
